Message

To stimulate the growing demands of the Koenjhargarh Municipality, Sanitation and housing shall be given top priority. In addition to employment  generation , Infrastructure development timely submission of uc as well as other flagship programmes of government.
Besides ,steps shall be taken for e-goverance for ensuring transparency   and providing better service, grievance redressal of the cities of Koenjhargarh Municipality.

INTRODUCTION

            This Municipality was constituted during the year 1951 vide notification No. 54/LSG dated 03.01.1951. The total area of this Municipality is 21.93 Sq. Kms. Altogether 27 revenue villages are coming under this Municipality after excluding Kabitra village vide Housing & Urban Development Department Notification No. 14906 Dated 21.06.2011. There are 21 wards in this Municipality. The total population of the Municipality is 60,590 out of which 31,481 are male and 29,109 are female as per 2011 Census.  . 
BOUNDARY
This Municipality is bounded by the following boundaries
East:    Govindpur, Tikargumura, Mandua & Muktapur.
West:   Gopinathpur,Nuagaon, Maligaon, Goudunibeda & Jamunalia.
South:  Suleikhamar, Ranki, & Sarasa.
North:  Kabitra, Baliagoda & Bodapalasa.
